Saddle Peak is another road that normally wouldn't make the grade for this site, as it is fun but not noteworthy and quite short. However it does have the good fortune to be located in Malibu which makes it important as it ties other, better, roads together.

At the west end Saddle Peak meets both Stunt Rd. (which is a great place to spend time) and Schueren Rd., which is one of the ways up from PCH. You'll often find a nice collection of sports cars and motorcycles taking a breather at this Y, and the views in all directions are not too bad either.

Heading east from the Y intersection the road runs along the top of the ridge for a few miles - watch out for the shared lane just east of the intersection, more storm damage that has yet to be repaired. After a few fun curves and one insane compound on the north side of the road (it's just too big to call it a house) the road enters a fairly dense residential area.

It would be a good idea to take it easy through here, as the curves are tight, the road is narrow, and the driveways are frequent. I don't often see cars pulling on to the road, but the buildings are quite close together up here and for the last section headed down to Tuna Canyon it pays to be alert.

At the east end Saddle Peak meets Tuna Canyon, which will either take you east to Topanga or south to PCH which is a must-see.

Some elevation change at the east end, but watch out for driveways. Great views both north and south along the top.
