This is a fairly fun road that, as itself, wouldn't be worth a long trek to get to. The good news, however, is that it creates a loop with Glendora Ridge Rd. and Glendora Mountain Rd. With the southern portion of Glendora Mountain closed this is a great alternative. Glendora Ridge, which runs between Mt. Baldy and Glendora Mtn. can be a little hair-raising with its narrow blind corners, but if you survive that section Mt. Baldy is a nice relaxing way down (or up if you are headed that way) the mountain.

It has been a while since I've been on the section of road north of Glendora Ridge, instead I've come down off of G.Ridge and turned south on Mt. Baldy. The area around the intersection has a restaurant and a few houses, but about a mile south everything thins out and there really isn't any cross traffic to worry about.

The pavement is in pretty good shape, but this road does service a mountain community so depending on the time of day or year there can be a fair amount of tourist traffic. However, with a nice mix of short straights and sweepers it isn't a technical road and can make for a relaxing road or a good place for beginners.

There are a few tunnels, but nothing like Hwy. 33 with a hairpin corner in the middle. At only 13 miles from Baseline Rd. at the south to the end of the road at the north it isn't a very long road but again when used as part of the San Gabriel Cyn. - Glendora loop it makes for a nice afternoon outing.
