Annapolis Rd. isn't nearly as much fun as Stewarts Pt. Skaggs Springs Rd. but it isn't a bad little detour if you want a few extra miles of curves before you hit Highway 1. Other than the 1-lane bridge where it meets Stewarts/Skaggs the road is 2 lanes with a line down the middle and pavement that is in pretty descent shape (especially after Skaggs).

The road climbs uphill for a short distance at the eastern end but for the most part keeps a fairly constant overall elevation but you will constantly be headed up, down, and over small ridges. There is a town along this town with ranches, houses, and a pretty good sized school so watch for local traffic and driveways. There aren't many speed limit signs but as far as I could tell the whole road was posted 30mph.

At the western end the road drops down toward the coast with some pretty good switchbacks under the over-hanging trees. There was some pavement patchwork that had been done in the recent past and plenty of loose gravel left over. From the way the road looked I got the impression that these patches are a pretty constant headache for the local repair crews.
